Sun Lee (Seungsun Lee) is a South Korean illustrator, artist, and mother. She grew up in Seoul, South Korea and moved to Wisconsin, US with her lovely son and husband in early 2021.
Art has always been a passion of hers. She attended a fine art middle and high school, and has a degree in Fiber art (textile) and Oriental painting from Ewha Womans University in South Korea. After graduation, she taught art while beginning her journey in illustration. In 2019, she began her career as a full-time freelance illustrator.
Her work is feminine and full of colors. She finds inspiration in a lot of things around her daily life , but especially female, motherhood, animals, and botanical. She mainly works on digital art with her iPad but also loves using traditional materials like gouache, acrylic, and watercolor. Her work captures women and animals in nature in her own quirky way. By making bright, warm, and vibrant artwork, it stimulates feelings of joy, love, and happiness to those who view it.
Sun Lee is available for freelance work, commissions, licensing, and collaborations. Her work is used around editorial illustration, stationery, accessories, and packaging. She is interested in working on a diverse range of illustration projects, so don’t hesitate to contact her if you wish to collaborate, or have any questions!
